Cheryl teases mini-Girls Aloud reunion on new album

Pop group Girls Aloud have been musically estranged for several years now, but that may all be about to change as two of its members have been working pretty closely together.

According to The Sun, Cheryl has teased that her bandmate and close friend Nicola Roberts has co-written every song on her upcoming solo album - with Nicola also possibly lending her vocals somewhere along the line.

Speaking about her new music, Cheryl explained: "Nicola and I wrote every track together. It's been great working with one of my best friends, but I'm really proud of the album and excited for people to hear the new music. It's pretty much finished.

"At this stage we're deciding what will be the first single. We're choosing between about three songs, but that's quite a nice problem to have.

"Thankfully I'm not looking at it, saying, 'Oh God, all this work and we don't have a hit record'. I think we do."

The Geordie songstress further revealed: "I think she [Nicola] may appear somewhere. I can't wait to get it out there for people to hear. It's going to be a few months. We don't have a date yet but I'll tell you more soon."

This news follows the recent reunion between Cheryl, Nicola and Kimberly Walsh, which was a token for Cheryl's 35th birthday celebrations.

Cheryl might also be keen to get on the road after her split from Liam Payne, so keep an eye out for any tour announcements that could possibly be on the way.
