Russell Simmons once again accused of rape.

Alexia Norton Jones has accused Russell Simmons of rape.  In a first-person account to Variety, she describes the sexual assault.

Russell Simmons has fought back against the claims.  In a statement to the New York Times, the hip-hop mogul said,

Glassnote issues a comment on dispute with Childish Gambino.

Glassnote Records has issued a statement about its legal case against Donald Glover – better known as Childish Gambino.  Defending itself from a recent TMZ article suggesting the label accused the actor/rapper of “screwing” it out of money, Glassnote Records wrote,

The label clarified it has not sued Glover.  Instead, the actor/rapper’s lawyers threatened Glassnote Records with a lawsuit.  Glover has claimed the label owes him 95% of royalties from SoundExchange.

Hipgnosis Songs Fund spends $23 Million on ‘Dream’ catalog.

Mark Mercuriadis’ Hipgnosis Songs Funds has paid $23.8 million to acquire a 75% stake in the 302-track catalog of Terius Youngdell Nash – aka The-Dream.  The catalog includes Justin Bieber’s ‘Baby,’ Beyoncé’s ‘Single Ladies,’ and Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella.’  The song royalties investment vehicle also went public on the London Stock Exchange.  Mercuriadis has revealed the company plans to spend £70 million ($94.2 million) of the £200 million ($264 million) raised right away.

Canada denies entry to G-Eazy.

Immigration officials have denied entry to rapper G-Eazy, forcing him to cancel an upcoming performance.  Cowboys Music Festival organizers confirmed the news.  In a statement on social media, organizers wrote,

G-Eazy also issued an apology to fans on Twitter.
