Rapper J Hus has been arrested and charged with carrying a knife in London.
The Mercury Prize-nominated artist – real name Momodou Jallow – was arrested on June 21 on suspicion of being in possession of a knife or bladed article ( BBC Newsbeat).
It happened after police stopped a vehicle in Stratford's Westfield shopping centre, and the rapper then appeared at Thames Magistrates Court the next day (June 22).
He was denied bail and has been remanded in custody, where he will remain until a trial due to take place on July 20.
"Officers in a marked police car stopped a vehicle in International Way E20, at about 12.35pm on Thursday 21 June," a Metropolitan Police spokesperson said ( The Guardian).
"The occupants of the vehicle were searched and a 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being in possession of a knife/bladed article."
Digital Spy has reached-out to J Hus' representatives for further comment on the matter.

The charge puts J Hus' upcoming gig appearances, which include a performance at TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow on June 30 and the Wireless Festival in London on July 7, in doubt.
The rapper was nominated for the Mercury Prize last year for his debut album Common Sense, and is also a Brit Award-nominee and MOBO-winner. The album also won the Best Album gong at the 2018 NME Awards in February.
