MusicSport announces a new hire.
Veteran booking agent P-C Rae will serve as Artist Booker at MusicSport. He’ll oversee and acquire talent for live music events at sporting venues.
Pitchfork announces a key appointment.
Starting October 15th, Puja Patel will serve as Editor-in-Chief at Pitchfork. She’ll oversee editorial content across all platforms and events. In the role, Patel replaces founder Ryan Schreiber.
Spotify loses yet another top executive.
Jackie Jantos, Spotify’s Vice President for Brand Creative, will exit the company. The marketing veteran had served at the company since 2013. Jantos previously served at Coca-Cola and Ogilvy & Mather. Alex Tanguay, Senior Global Brand Director, and Alex Bodman, Global Executive Creative Director, will assume her responsibilities.
The news of Jantos’ departure comes days after Spotify announced Seth Farbman, its Chief Marketing Officer, would leave the company.
iHeartMedia confirms a new appointment.
Maria Palmer will serve as Music Director for iHeartMedia Charlotte as well as On-Air Host for 106.5 The END, an Alternative Rock station in Charlotte. She joins the Charlotte market from Washington DC, where she started her radio career.
As Music Director, Palmer will assist with day-to-day operations of the station’s music programming. Responsibilities include managing relationships with record label partners and scheduling daily music logs. Palmer will also lead WEND’s social media accounts, regularly updating and engaging with listeners and users.
Sony/ATV loses its CEO.
As reported on DMN, Martin Bandier, Sony/ATV’s 11-year Chairman and CEO, will step down from the company in March 2019. Multiple reports suggest Jon Platt, CEO and Chairman at Warner/Chappell Music Publishing who will step down at the end of this year, will take over for Bandier.
ONErpm makes a key hire.
Music industry veteran Jason Jordan will serve as Managing Director of North America at ONErpm, a global distribution, label services, and rights management company. He’ll grow the company’s reach in the US and Canada.
